Harvard Study Shows Workplace Wellness Can Generate 6:1 ROI

September 01, 2014

We are often asked for research on the health and wellness industry and if there are any studies that examine wellness program Return On Investment (ROI).  The Harvard Study “Workplace Wellness Programs Can Generate Savings” is the best (unbiased) study we’ve seen to date.

The study finds “that medical costs fall about $3.27 for every dollar spent on wellness programs, and absentee day costs fall by about $2.73 for every dollar spent.”

According to the authors, “the average return on investment suggests that the wider adoption of such programs could prove beneficial for budgets and productivity as well as health outcomes.”
